on the abs pump can i run a power/neg to it to see if is pump gone again or is something else ? seems weird to have gone after only 8 weeks of fitting .

On the ABS first things to check are:
In Engine bay fusebox:-
Maxi Fuse 3...40amp
RL 17 ABS Pump relay *
RL 2 ABS power relay*

*Can be swapped with another relay of the same colour and size for troubleshooting.

In the becm fuse carrier:-

F17 (10A) apart from the stop lamps, it feeds back to the ABS ecu...if the stop lamps work, it's o.k.

Check for 12V at the Brown & Red wire and Black wire at the ABS pump. If the system is pressurised there will be no voltage at these wires.
Pump the brake pedal with the engine off until it goes "Hard", this will depressurise the booster system. When the ignition is switched on, the pump should run until the system is repressurised, it is switched off by a pressure switch.

there is no humming or actuation of pump what so ever at the moment ,ijust need to check if pump motor has gone or is before it gets to the pump the problem.I am driving the vehicle each day , just fitted new fuse box soi doubt is relays or fuse

ok both rear door panels off , multi meter reading on all wires when front locks actuated , red prong in orange and black in all other colours . shows a reading , still cant get door to open pulled pushed all levers and still no joy

nope dead as a dodo at door end , only thing i will say is the rear door that does open when you pull the sill plunger up and down you can hear and feel it mechanicly doing something , the super locked door when you pull the plunger up and down is very non actuating is just a smooth pull and push does not feel like anything is moving apart from the plunger and long bar , but moves as the other does , if that makes sense !! obviously need to get door open to change the lock .Will change both rear locks and see what happens , iguesswillhave to source another abs pump and hope that works too . only 7 days for return to mot garage

Remove the plug from the pump and put 12V on the pins which correspond with the Black and Brown & Red wires on the plug to see if the pump runs ok. Black is Ground and Brown & Red is 12V positive.
As I posted before, pump the brake pedal a few times.
Dont run the pump for too long as it could overpressurise the system, just long enough to prove whether it works or not as you will have the pressure switch by passed.

will give it a go in the morning , i went to Cirensester today and purchased a new pump , am going to change it tommorrow , anything i need to watch out for ? or not do ?
