Steering Knuckle Ball Joint Removal

Hi, Didn't mean the size just the design. Sorry if I confused you.

No Problem Griff.

OK we have progress today (I'm not a very fast spannerer), I have the steering knuckle off, the bottom ball joint eventually parted company using a reasonably substantial two jaw puller. Wind on tension, hit knuckle, wind on tension hit knuckle and bang she's off. That left the two old ball joints to remove from the axle assembly. Using my new Chinese 10 piece ball joint remover kit (£26 on E Bay) is was quite straightforward. Get some tension on, hit axle around ball joint, wind on a little more tension and repeat. No 4 foot scaffold bars, just plenty of WD40, a 4lb clump hammer tapping the ring spanner on the G clamp and they both popped out. Well corroded in I might add. However I highly recommend the cheapo ball joint removal kit, excellent job.
Now the next step is to replace the (non leaking) drive shaft oil seals. Seems silly not to, but I have read various threads related to new seals that do not actually seal, being the wrong dimensions.
Can someone recommend the best driveshaft oil seals for a D2 that will not leak after it's first drive down the pub?

I have just registered for the Forum and will have a look. In the meantime I have order some NAK seals. They are recommended as the correct size.
Right, job finished, just a matter of re-connecting new drag and track links, they were well corroded and ball joints passed their best, so complete replacements are to be fitted. I will track the front of the car with a piece of string from the rear wheels, with a bolt in the steering box in the straight ahead position in true bodgers fashion.
Indecently the steering knuckle ball joints pressed in with the Chinese ball joint removal kit fairly easily with a little persuasion, plus the NAK drive shaft oil seals pressed in with a sleeve from the same kit too.
I have noticed that the ABS light is on, but as no faults are showing on the Nanocom and all sensors are indicating good, I am hoping this will go after a test drive. Well thats the theory.
