Steering damper toque settings ..

Hi all ..

As it says really , looking for the toque setting for the Chassis end of the steering damper where the rubbers are fitted , the new damper is an ome guess that makes no difference ..

any info would be great .. Cheers ..

Is it a nylock? If yes, just snug it up.

yeah it is .. thats pretty much what I did , didnt want to over do it , nor wanted it too loose ... its the first one I have done

If I over did it im guessing the rubbers will end up splitting ?

It will not undo that is the job of the nylock, as above just squeeze up the rubbers a bit. To much and they will not do their job of absorbing vibration.

LR manual page 221 confirms 50Nm/37lb/ft damper to drag link. No torque setting to chassis :. tightened max hand tight with normal spanner until 'tight'
