Could someone please tell me if there's a nack to getting this to fit right?

The original 110 I bought for my rebuild didn't have one so couldn't note how it came apart.

Whenever I offer up the lower half it just doesn't seem to line up correctly. Especially with the ignition barrel. If anyone has any tips, or better yet pics that would be really helpful. Cheers.

No tricks really, just make sure it slides onto the ignition barrel where it is supposed to, line up the stalk rubbers and then place the other one onto it and it should fit.

Dont force it to fit, just try to line it up carefully and it will go together, it calls for a bit of wiggling around :D

Just noticed there's a piece missing from my upper shroud. Does anyone have a good one going spare?

The diagram looks to be a mirror image of what i have on mine, as the ignition barrel and bonnet pull slots are on the opposite sides (maybe LHD?). Items 6&7 look like they are only needed if you have a bonnet pull cable fitted. (Mine doesn't)

I thought the bonnet release was in the footwell. Are you sure parts 6&7 aren't for a choke cable?

So how do you open the bonnet if you don't have a bonnet pull fitted?

There is a lever behind the front radiator grill, you have to poke your fingers through and pull it. There's also a lock barrel in the front panel that you can lock it with to stop any Tom Dick or Harry opening it.

I don't know about choke cables, I can't remember any of my petrol ones having a manual choke, even the series had automatic choke IIRC.
