Hi, nice amount of oil coming from what I think is steering box ( not an expert!) it's a yellowish grease type texture, anyway there is a intermittent crack on left lock. Steering seems to be operating fine but need to get this sorted. Is there a repair kit for this someone mentioned ball bearings in another older post??

It should have EP90 in it but there's often a lot of grease used on assembly to keep the balls in place. Ball races, bush and seals are easily changed, the worm, nut and output shaft are a bit more difficult to obtain. The hard bit is getting the box out and in again.

No. Steering is quite different between a Series and a 90/110.
Were it me I'd have the steering box out and strip it on the bench. they're not all that hard to overhaul - just did one for my Series I 86. You could always sort one from a scrappie and reseal/rebuild that, then swap it in if you don;t want the vehicle down for any length of time.
Replacing a steeringbox is fiddly and annoying, no more. On a series III the dash will have to come out, all the wiper/turn signal gubbins off the column along with the wheel . All the braces inside need to come out, and the inner wing box cover and perhaps the inner wing shield itself to allow the column to come out of the box bracket on the chassis/bulkhead.
What may be in your steering box is one-shot grease for CV joints/swivel balls. That's not an uncommon "fix" for leaking steering boxes.

No, not even similar.
Agree with all of that, but unsure about the one shot stuff. He says the grease in his is yellow, the one shot I have seen is dark green?

The steeringbox is at the end of the steering column - the other thing on the front of the chassis is the steering relay. Both are fairly easy to rebuild but are a pain in the arse to get out. The steering relay contains a big spring which needs taming with clamps (google steering relay rebuild). It's probably worth finding out where the leak is coming from and we might be able to better advise. Some good pictures will help. As the other posters have said a steering box is fairly easy to do once its on the bench.
