Insane Phil!! I got interviewed pretty much for current dog and liked the fact she did that for that kind of dog. As you know from yours, spaniels, collies, working breeds need a job!! When I got my pup there were quite a few young male dogs given up on under a year. I won’t ever forget how much of a prick mine was. The dogs trust I went to is full of young male Akita’s - if I can’t get a cocker who on earth do they give an Akita to?!!! Oh and they told me he would have to go back and be neutered at 6 months which really angered me!!

haven’t got on it for ages to be honest but do have a weekend this weekend provided it’s dry (haven’t checked). Think I’ll still get on it if raining anyways. There’s enough to do!
 
The crush tubes are huge and offer a lot of adjustment, top hinge in an bottom hinge out a touch while you lift should help, I undo 2 of the 3 on each hinge and merely slack the third enough to let me wriggle it with a bit of pressure but not drop back down and then quickly nip it up.

If it is still catching then you wants a 10mm hex and adjust the striker bolt on the door post.

done and done - will give another go shifting those backing plates as much as possible but looks like hinges are toasted from having a silly insa turbo hanging off the door ffs
 
Ha, I went to go drag my good gearboxes out the corner last night and it just pains me to start spannering after so long welding, but needs must an all that.

Ordered a new input shaft seal for the transfer box and will do the seals and bearing the weekend.

I prefer spannering by far. Apart from on the daily. Did a drive shaft seal last week and snapped a pry bar just trying to pop her out!! All done now though

And good quality release bearing. Mine has rattled since new :eek:.

I did put a new clutch in it in 2015 after the old one getting a touch warm dragging horse boxes out of the parking, low box and it's quite amazing what you can drag out of a muddy field with a 2 tonne 4x4 on mud terrain tyres :)

I fitted an uprated/strengthened/modified clutch fork and the HD ally housing release bearing, pig of a job it was, took me all day in a centrally heated workshop :rolleyes:
