Hello all after a little help. I have a 1990 landrover 90 19j. I have a starting problem at the moment. I have tried putting power straight to the starter and that does not work. It was working fine until I fiddled with some of the electrics trying to sort my broken fuel gauge however I can't see how that would effect the starter. And yes I have hit it with a hammer. Any help would be appreciated

You may get a good reading on a meter that's still a problem with serious current.
Ahh yes. Connected the earth's back to the bulkhead and fired up first time. Thanks
you can never have too many earths. i would possible consider adding in some extra between the chassis and the engine/gearbox, and fitting a new heavy on between the battery and the chassis.Ahh yes. Connected the earth's back to the bulkhead and fired up first time. Thanks
