Series 1 starting

Morning boys and girls. I have a series 1 that has not been started for the last 5 years, sat outside for that time. I now have it in the barn. I have dropped oil down the plugs a week ago.
Looking for any tips on flashing it up?

Does it turn over by hand ?

It turns over on the battery but no spark at the plug?

Check / replace points , leads and plugs and check and clean earth points

Once you get spark it may be worth stripping and cleaning your carb too

Ht lead has melted at the solenoid, new plugs and points in it. Going to and get a roll of it and replace it all.

Something serious caused the HT lead to melt in the first place, check wiring on HT circuit as well. Coil?
