Hi there, can any one help me, I have a 2000 p38 2.5 dse
And when I try and start it cold it turns over for about 30 secs before starting, I know this is not a battery problem as it has a brand new battery on it, once it's warm it starts fine, any ideas please

Thank you for calling the Landyzone get out of the **** with minimal interaction site!

Normally its nice to introduce yourself!!

Your problem sounds like fuel leaking back or air leaking in, check your fuel lines

Sorry, new to this so didn't know where to start lol, thanks a lot for ur help really appreciate it and will check the lines at weekend

Now I'm probably talking out of me hat, as im no mechanical genius, but I had a starting prob with me TD5 tonight and was reminded of a similar prob with my D1 thanks to a post from a fellow member on here...

Glo plugs? Getting mine checked ASAP!

Drop this Q in on the Range Rover forum, plenty of Diesel drivers willing to help out...

I am with both the above causes....

Glow Plugs are notrious for only last so many cycles...if you problem is starting cold, and starts fine warm, that indicates the Glow Plugs are getting old or not getting power...

The Injector Spill Pipes (Leak Off Pipes) these interlink each injector are well known to split allowing air to be drawn into the fuel system, for the sake of a few quids worth of fuel pipe, might aswell replace these in anycase...

Pop in on the Range Rover forum, do a search and you'll find bucket loads of advice!!
