Starting problem

Hi all, I am from South Africa an this is my first time posting on this site (hope I'm in the right place). My '99 freelander's ignition lights got the tendency to not come on when I turn the ignition. It flickers weakly and sometimes after a while it'l come on fully and then only the car the car starts. Could it be the intermittent starter switch or something else.

most likely the ignition switch,common problem,you can buy the switch part separately from the ignition barrel,dont know the part number,someone might know on here

YXB100350 is the part number 2 min job very common

Hope to get the part here in South Africa for a reasonable price, as where it come to Land Rover parts the market prices is close or normally like a rip-off deal. Cheers
