starting problem with 87 bronco

My 87 Bronco XLT 5.8 liter 4V H.O. went completely dead, everything, after
a split second of the starter engaging. The battery showed full charge.
I replaced the cylanoid, and now have headlights, heater fan, radio, etc.
all working, battery fully charged, but turning the key to turn it over
does nothing. Did the starter maybe go bad at the same time as the
cylanoid? I am going to try and remove the starter next and have it
tested. Any ideas about what else it could be? Thank you.

Try smacking the starter/solenoid a couple of good whacks. If that doesn't
work, take the leads of the starter/solenoid, clean the contacts, then do
the same on the battery. If that doesn't work, it could be your
starter/solenoid or your ignition switch.

That really sounds like you need to clean all the battery cables. Don't
forget they have 2 ends on each cable....

Hi, thanks for the help. Ok, that was a good trick about putting a booster
from the positive to the starter side of the selanoid. When I did this the
starter did spin. The engine didn't seem to engage for some reason, but at
least the starter got power and spun. I went back to shucks and told him
it could be the wrong selanoid, he said there is basically only one kind
of ford selanoid, but that maybe to try the ford dealership. He said to
put the little connecter that is on the "s" side of the two smaller little
posts to the other side, I did this, nothing. Then he said to put a small
wire from the positive battery post to the little small selanoid post, the
"s" small post, I did this, nothing. I checked all the fuses in the fuse
box, they are all good. So now it looks like it is the wrong selanoid?
Why does my starter spin when I put a booster from the positive battery
post to the starter side of the selanoid, but the engine doesn't try and
turn over. I did not hold the booster on there for long, but it seemed
strange the starter spun without the engine turning over at all. I didn't
hold it long enough to let it spin for a while, just a quick spin,
