Starting problem when engine warm

any idea why the ECU light does not light up showing there is problem ????
 
No idea why ecu warning does not light up.

All I know is it appears to be fairly common. I spend more time on a BMW forum and they have the same problem with starting hot diesels.

Cheers im in the process of soucing a new one at the minute any ideas where the best buy will be, i assume not the Landy dealers

i have hopefully now cured my TD4 with the same problem as yours it looks as though it was the cam sensor the best £44 i have spent,i changed it a few days ago without no further frustrating time trying to get it started
 
Guys, I have this problem too. I understand the sensor is relatively easy to change yourself? If so, could someone tell me where it is or better yet an image of it and where it resides under the bonnet? Hoping to get hold of one pretty soon and get this very annoying problem sorted!

Sorry no pice, but, Remove the top engine noise cover. Look at the top of the engine to the left. Half way between the yellow oil filler cap and the braided air intake hose. The sensor is on top of the engine held with a single torx screw. Takes 30secs to fit. Good luck......
 
Got a new sensor on order, £24.54 only and it's arriving on Wednesday :D

No this is a genuine Land Rover part from the local Land Rover franchise over here. Chuffed with the price!
