P38 4.6 gems.is it possible to start somehow on lpg . The car has a broken fuelpump and needs to be replaced for restauration.
It has a prins vsi installed which should run fine.

No technical reason but depends on the system. some will let you force a cold start by flipping the switch a few times.. or whatever the 'secret' is for a particular system. Some won't allow it.
Just expect it to crank longer before it starts

Mine you turned the ignition on, then held the LPG button down for a few seconds and then it beeped to show it had manualy switched to LPG only.

Start and let it warm up a bit before driving. I only ever did it once, but it did work. But rough tickover until it had warmed up a bit.

From another site:
With engine on but not started, switch to petrol then immediately switch back to LPG and hold the LPG button down until the lead goes yellow, then the car should start on LPG until next start cycle
