1999 4.6 Thor none starter won’t turn over its in park pushed the inhibit button new starter and solenoid new battery and re synced becm help at wits end now oh all fuses and relays good cheers for any help

Yer it said p on dash ****ing with rain again now so will check all again in a bit I’ve got all the dash out and a new binical so will plug it all back in later I had the check engine light on then it wasn’t on but not sure I’ve it’s relevant on the petrol model

The push-connect small wire at the spade connector can corrode and cause issues Next check will the starter with a + wire to bypass the solenoid, if it turns then it's not the main earth (probably) or starter itself (probably) - likely then to be either the little wire that connects solenoid to starter.

I’ve put a new starter and solenoid on it s that wire that connects the two should be ok I will try and workout the direct wire from the battery I’m guessing to the starter and make sure it turns over

Checked dash no lights at all on it only light is key in ignition lite up and bleeping noises for door open and can here brake pump noise

Picture of wires on starter?

I assume it worked before you changed that starter?

It worked when I jumped the relay but that’s what blew the starter relay and then no power to the solenoid will test the wiring to starter but it must be something to The ignition now as no lights on binical

I’ve got a tester for wiring I’ve just checked the relay all good power to solenoid and power to main bolt but no green light to starter but I think that gets power when the key is turned

Fink I be calling that auto Electrian again any ideas what colour wires go to the dash binical mabey damage to one of them

Not very good pics but sure all connected properly

Mine did this last time i had the dash out, can only put it down to a dodgy connection behind the dash. Jiggled the plug and it's been perfect ever since
