Starting after all this time…..

I am at the stage where I will be starting my 200tdi engine after 3 years doing a restoration.

The only work done to the engine since removing it has been a replacement timing belt and new oil and filters, the engine has not run since then.

I intend to drain this oil and replace with new, fill up the coolant with anti freeze, add power steering fluid and then prime the fuel system.
The next step was to start the engine, and without revving leave in tick over to allow the oil to flow around the engine.

What is the general consensus to starting an engine that has not run, but turns over after this length of time? My concern is the turbo oil feed, should I be doing anything else?

If you think oil is half decent leave it until you have run a bit and is warm for a good drain.
Before you start motor disconnect the wire on the injector pump for the stop solenoid so motor can turn over not start, but pump oil around for some thirty seconds or until oil light goes out. Do this a couple of times. Then re connect wire to start.

It will start and run just fine with no special things needing doing, bet you dont even need to prime the fuel system so long as it has not been opened injection pump onwards.

^^ This one, I have just very lightly rebuilt top and bottom end of a 200tdi that have been sat at the back of a bar for about 10 years and all I did was as @tottot suggested and crank over with fuel solenoid disconnected until the oil pressure light went out a few times. This will also act to prime the fuel filter if needed as you will be cranking the lift pump. having done this mine started instantly so I do not think you will have any issue as all.
