Nope.

IS it true you've just been dumped by your imaginary girl friend..

I only thought you were a child because a grown up would have ignored the post if they didn't know the answer or thought it was a pointless post.

Most of the senior members on here come up with sensible answers that you wouldn't otherwise find through Google, or just politely point people in the right direction. Somebody may well have just said it was 10 miles per 100 out but until you ask you don't know.

i changed my tyres to a higher profile and as a result the speedo reads exactly the same as gps.
this is annoying when driving in traffic as they are all doing 5 mph less than i want to go.

i know exactly what you were trying to achieve, gps would've sorted the calculation out easily if you had done it before and after the tyres were fitted but hey ho.

it kept a few of us happy for ten minutes :)

no offence intended Landowner ;)

Non taken:)

You're quite right this is a thread about tyre size I just couldn't resist given the reply poor old Tom got asking his question.

I imagine there's going to be more than one answer for a Defender,,, 205's, 750's on steels, various sizes on alloys - you'll need to be more specific about 'standard' tyres I reckon.

I had some 31/10.50x15's on a Defender once and they were pretty much identical in diameter to 7.50x16's if that helps....?
