squeeky brakes

My disco 3 is 11 months old squeaky brakes are driving me mad. Seems worse when setting off in reverse after being left standing overnight, sometimes experience clunking when setting off in reverse . They continually squeak whilst driving. Is this a common problem? Had the same with my '06 disco 3 auto!!

I would moan at the dealer and mention warrenty etc.

I have done, they are asking for £75.00 to look at it!! Just wondered if it is a common problem?

say warranty louder

if its under warentee demand they do it free if it covered

so....bought a new disco 3 TD V6 XS in march 2009.
Took it back to main dealer for inspection 2 weeks ago (18 months old) detachable towbar had both sideways and upward movement probably somewhere between 1/4" and 1/2". They want to fit a new back crossmember...gobsmacked, don't want a new car with crucial bits "repaired"! Could have bought a couple of write offs and put them together!
Apparently, the bit that the towbar fits into has worn, and it is welded to the rear crossmember, so the whole section needs replacing.
"Oh! by the way, we recommend that you don't tow until repaired!"
Asked the agent to replace the car with no profit for them, less any depreciation on the 18 month old car, so it is going to cost me, whatever happens!!
They say, "can't do that, what if it does it again on the next car?"
What have I bought into? Thought I had bought a car that tows...
Any thoughts anyone... is this a common fault?

We have a 05 RRS Supercharged at work with Brembos, it has quite bad brake squeak and very bad clunking when on and off the brakes forwards or backwards.

Definitely a poor quality vehicle, obviously D3 is the same. RR Vogue seems more resilient mechanically, yet they are riddled with their own problems too.

Such a shame these new cars are so average
