squealing and squeaking breaks

hi, bought a 110 defender around xmas and the breaks were squealing. REALLY LOUD!! like a double decker bus, painfull. got new pads put on and records show new discs were put on in december, But within a week or so it started up again and now it's just as bad. Any ideas PLEASE! ,

Couple of suggestions assuming it is disc front drum rear set up;

1. Try either brake grease or copperease between the disc pad backs and the anti-squeal shims (thin smear is adequate, not a complete pasting).

2. Take the drums off the rear end and clean out any shoe dust, as this can cause brake squeal.
