Ah'm sure there's a polishin' compound, but canae mind it's name (not t-cut) It's a paste type stuff that ye use with a buffer/ polishin' mop type thing.

Didnae have too much a prob wi' the flies as ah did most of the paintin' inside and then when it 'felt' dry, ah stuck it out side tae bake a bit in the sun;)
3m and farecla do compound in a tube but to be honest you will not denib the flies out succesfully...i use waterbase and high solids clearcoat and occasionally flies land on mine:eek:..i pull them out with masking tape and drop another coat on...i use 3m green top fast compound with 1500/2000 paper followed by 4000 pad....you will find you might not put enough clearcoat on to wet flat and compound and also if its not fully cured and if you using a buffer you will burn the finish as the heat generated will soften 1 pack paints.
sorry for being a bearer of bad news but been a professionel painter for 30 years and been there and done it.....cannot do anything with a spanner though:D

looking at the painting pics brought back memories lol....when i first started with ici cellulose and polyurethane back in the late 70s we never used newspaper but rolls of patterned wall paper.....then we progressed to brown paper......now we cannot use paper but its all plastic sheeting etc....just be careful with newspaper as certain thinners can make the ink run and spoil yer jobs......i have never seen this ever happen personally but it can.....another tip with bodyfillers.
do not use more hardener to speed up drying as it will not...it will cause sterene bleeding and when you paint your car it the filler will be visisble regardless how many times you recoat unless you spray area with a black paint first as nothing can e seen through black
