Just thought they needed to be in pairs and an equal distance apart. What distance do you think it should be? Just curious as I’ve got bull bar mounted spots too.I think you have a way to go before you need to worry about spotlights if that picture is anything to go by but as a general rule in Birmingham, bigger is better. As for road legal, spotlights should be a certain distance apart, you'll not achieve that if you fit them to a bull bar.

I think it comes under the construction of vehicles regs (not sure) it gives a distance from the edge of the body to the centre of the lamp so spotlights that are close together are technically illegal. Having said that, I've seen plenty mounted on bull bars that don't conform so I don't think the police or average mot tester take much notice.
My 90 1984 had spotlights as seen in the picture came out of the factory like that can’t remember what they were wired up to thoughI think it comes under the construction of vehicles regs (not sure) it gives a distance from the edge of the body to the centre of the lamp so spotlights that are close together are technically illegal. Nah the look is staying as it is but the bullbar mesh and light guards are going to hide a lot of lightI think you have a way to go before you need to worry about spotlights if that picture is anything to go by but as a general rule in Birmingham, bigger is better. So you going to find the info then??...................LOL.
I always thought the get out was, just to state "off road use only".

The original ones are ring.Ring do a set of "classic" rally lights, that should fit in with the look.

I’m keeping it loose so I can unbolt it easy and use them as an engine bay lightI also believe it was specified, one had to be pointing upwards at all times like a WWII searchlight and the other had too have loose mounting bolts, so it crazily rotated around like a badly times 70's Disco light.
Cheers
