Hi all . am waiting for 4 100w spots to be delivered, i want to wire them separate from the headlights should i take the live direct from the battery or best to get a live from some where else. any advantage to wiring in another fuse box to run them and some other bits.

400w is equal to a current draw of about 34 amps so I'd take a heavy feed direct from the battery. Make sure its fused and use wiring that is up to the job or it could all end in tears.

and wire direct from battery to fuse box then run a separate fuse for each relay Get a mini fusebox from an autoelectrical place. and fuse each lamp with a 7.5amp fuse. that way the fuse will blow before the bulb does. (Fuses are cheaper)

I've got my 2 spot lights wired direct to the battery and fused.
I flick a switch and on they come

Make sure the switch you fit has an LED on it or it'll give no indication you've turned them on or not.

Sounds straightforward but accidently hitting it during the day time and leaving the lannie when you're away from home isn't going to make your day

38.8 amps get a 40 amp fuse and a good relay
