spotlight trigger wire

hi all have installed relays (2 in a waterproof case) for my spotlights.
have found the red wire on the headlight bulb is the main beam.(but this is covered by the cap) so cant get a wire to it.
there is a multiplug coming out the back of the headlight unit but there is not much wire to play with.
where do you people take your trigger from.

Strip insulation from headlamp wire & solder trigger wire to it. Problem solved. failing that cut wire fit Piggyback female spade terminal

I've always used a Scotch Lock to break into the main beam lead for the relay trigger circuit. Then I make sure it good and waterproof by using self amalgamating tape, although not really necessary as it under the bonnet.

Nada nish nil points.

I cant stand breaking into factory looms. All my feeds come from an add-a-circuit off the fuse box and then a dedicated line through to the relay. Much neater and more reliable and only a couple o quid. Only issue comes when trying to get quite a few in, but I have one on my headlights, sidelights and foglights and they fit in fine.
