Spluttering TD5

This is the second time i've had her out and i've noticed when driving normally she is perfect but under heavy acceleration she splutters, i have accelerated through the splutter on gears 3rd an 4th it then goes away for the duration of the journey and returns at next start up.

i was wondering if it was maybe my waste gate solenoid?

check the red plug on the ecu for oil contamination, if its there you need a new injector harness and clean red plug with brake cleaner

Received my new injector loom/harness, stripped it down and ATV glued every single hole, cavity i could find shut..

Fitted new injector loom and gasket, cleaned out the oil on the ecu side, waxoyled the engine bay and every plug got cleaned an dielectric grease blasted through. i will report back on results..

Check the wastegate linkage isn't sticking and that the MAP sensor is clean.

Is that what happens to you when your waste gate sticks............ Spattering all over the

Nope. That's what happens if yer wastegate gets too slack

Well we still have a splutter and ive cleaned out the MAP sensor on the manifold, next items to check are the MAF sensor and wastegate im thinking.

How much pressure does it take to move the wastegate, i had a set of mole grips on it and been cautious i could not move the thing at all but it could also have been due to me not knowing how much pressure to give it?

Did you pull or push the wastegate? You need to push it - towards the turbo

Pushed towards the turbo but not knowing how much pressure to apply so i left it.

It can take a fair bit of pushing if it's sticking.Probably enough that you need two hands to move it.

Just dont twist it or it can tear the diaphragm in the actuator.

Not yet my new MAF sensor just arrived today so i will be posting result when i fit it this weekend. Watch this space!

when did you last fit a fuel filter to it, and do you use supermarket fuel?

My fuel filter was replaced about 2 weeks ago and i use BP fuel..
