Speedo/rev counter

2002 Freelander1.
Following on from the last thread, the working replacement instrument cluster was fitted & the result was,,,, Speedo/rev counter remained still, not working.
So my question is: where does the info for the Speedo & rev counter come from? As it is quite clearly not being sent to my panel. I presume some electronic relay/sender in the gearbox or?

Thank you for the info & I will try to find a copy of Rave as I understand from other posts it is no longer published.

Search on here for Rave - there are ‘how too’s’ and copies of the disk available.
(Search under @Hippo )

It is a number of disk images - you’ll need a pc to run/read it (an old one will do), but it is invaluable for an F1.
It is the official Land Roverer workshop details. Waaay better than Haynes.
