Series 111 Speedo has just stopped any tips on fixing ?

The ride on my land rover seems very hard, Surprise, surprise. Will lowering the tyre pressure make any difference and if so what pressure do you recommend?

Kind regards
Jon

take yer dash out and detach teh speedo cable. prop in position so yer can see it. now drive the fooker if the cable turns its ok and yer heid is fooked if it dunt either the cable or speedo drive gear box is dead. pull th einner out the outer and check the g/box end of it. it should be square or oval depending on model of gearbox. if its all frayed its fooked if its square or oval yer drive is fooked

Plenty of advice if you use the search section for the speedo fix.

Lowering tyre pressure will indeed make a difference with worse handling, poor cornering and shortening of the tyre life, so not much to recommend that route.
New parabolic's are supposed to help. I have one with and two without, and to be honest can't tell the difference.:)

Clivees,

I would have thought so but you haven't given us enough info to go on.

The system i quoted was the old imperial system ie
7.5 = tyre wall and tyre width = 7.5 inches
16 = 16 inch diameter rim's

the numbers you quoted are the new system
205 = the tyre width
16 = 16 inch diameters rim's
another number say 85 = Tyre wall = 85% of Tyre width = 174mm

See
so as 174mm and 205mm is not = 7.5 twice
its not easy to say pressure.
But i would say 25psi is not far wrong.
Ps
Don't blame me ok.
