Mmm really weird one this. My mileometer jumped from 126500 to 178003 all on its own. Now problem is ive had car for last 4 years and mileage has been going up steady about 6000 ayear and i do all my servicing my self so i keep track of mileage. Problem is digi dash just swapped the 2 for a 7 so now motor has just done anothet 50000 miles in a blink of an eye. Has anyone had this or is this able to be corrected. I do have nano evo and wondered if i could in someway get into to fix. Any help most welcomed.

Don't think it's as easy as that Discool. 126500 miles is 203582 kilometres.

I would be more inclined to go for something getting upset in the BCU. Don't know if anything can be done to alter the reading, there might be legal constraints on the ability to change the odometer total. (winding the clock back)

How carefully are you keeping an eye on the car? Herbies owner didn't pay enough attention to his antics and look where it got him.

Could it be the BCU playing up? No idea on how to fix though aside from taking to a dealer and checking the programming.

I 4t i wasnt illegaal to wind a clock back but it was illegal to sell a car thats been clocked.if the clocks were changed then record mileage of old and new and go from there.

If BCU and pod get upset with eachother then mileage flashes on the pod.

Regards changing mileage, it's not illegal you can do what to want to the twinkly little numbers on your car BUT you wouldn't want to be misrepresenting the vehicles recorded mileage when selling it to someone, that's all.

Just get the vehicle on a nanocom etc or speak to a local mileage adjustment firm and see about getting it reset.
