Forget the drag race Doc, I want to see who's project is finished first, yours or Jai's but a drag race :scratching_chin: would have to go for Jai on that one :crazy_driver: nothing against the engine or box but the itchy right foot when Jai can floor his and pull away. :rolly:

I'm dropping the gears off to get an adaptor cut this week, so hopefully shouldn't be too much longer.

Got some 5/8th bar to make up the bellhousing adaptor too

Oh and I will be able to floor it if I get uprated diffs and half shafts ;)

Would be a great section! other forums have it, why not here!?

Its only 1 more.. and it will be a brilliant one. Will be able too look at all members builds/projects, rather than shifting through 100s of.. what tyres and.. it wont start... to find these builds.

Let's ask to kill off a section to make space for it ;)

The powers that be here, don't even recognize that the P38 was fitted with a factory approved/fitted BMW diesel engine and won't allow a sub-section in the engine section.

So inbred motors have no chance.....

Yeah but P38's are ****.......

Anyone is entitled to their opinion, personally I've been down the modified route and returned to ordering the parts of the shelf.

I've owned my dozzel P38 for almost 6 years now, been to the South of France, Lake District, Cornwall and loads of other places in it and so far its been the most reliable Land Rover Product I've owned, compared to my previous landy's, series 1 (1600cc and V8), series 2A (standard and V8), series 3, 110 v8 HT and its even more reliable than my Toyota FJ40 Diesel...rust bucket...

Personally I hope your happy with your **** chevy conversion....:p

A Toyota FT40 4 speed gearbox bellhousing will bolt straight on to the back of a small block Chevy engine (400 cu in), you only then need a simple spacer between the gearbox and bellhousing the obtain the correct input shaft length.

Many years ago a friend used to run a modified Range Rover/Roll Caged chassis, 400 cu in Chevy, with modified range rover/land cruiser suspension in the AWDC Comp Safari's, "Toyolet" was its name. Went like **** of a shovel and was MOT'ed road legal.

400+ bhp x 400+ ft lbs

Those were the days of fun....

Think I told you that along time ago and you got all ****y about it. Then I got a warning from a MOD over it.:p Think the Yank knows a thing or 2 Doc. Been around the block a few times..I have:rolleyes:

You never said it was unique did you ?

I cant remember tbh

all I know is the dowel holes line up with the chevy bellhousing and thats how I'm making the adaptor

The bellhousing fits the muncie and the muncie fits the LT230 with the help of the gear I'm having cut

Yes I did. I Said Caddy was a bastid engine of GM and No GM/cevy part would fit. But you insisted that it was GM and all GM parts will.. big block to big block. You really did.

Knew about trans and transfer would with a adaptor;)
