Course, you is right!!! bluddy metric system!! Obviously I was thinking of the submarine I am not building! MM not cm. born too long ago and spent too much time with feet, inches and toes!
With the water depth of 0.5M that puts standing water level on both my vehicles above the bottom of the doors by around 100mm, so that could be an issue if the door seals were iffy, when my RR was standing in water at a Ford it was half way up the doors so around 600mm but that level soon lowered when underway with the crossing.

To be honest, with my disc player under the passenger seat in one car and under the drivers seat in the other, I doubt I would ever want to get that deep. I would want to absolutely be certain that once started I would not have to stop till I got out the other side, hence only fords or flooded tarmac.

I have had my Disco 2 for about a year now. Prior to that, my Dad owned it for roughly 7 years. In that time it's never been through water...it's something I have been wary of because of the air compressor underneath.

Will there be any issues with it flooding, or the electrics? As an additional side note, the box lid is missing... Will that cause any issues either?

As a fellow noob, but veteran of a few forums, I’ve found the bods on this forum to be ace at helping newbies, properly helped me out of a pickle or two.

Plus, like I say to my team at work “there are no silly questions apart from the ones you don’t ask...”

I've been pretty silent here for a while, reading other's posts and threads with interest. I have learned a wealth of information already...although I know there are thousands of things I don't know. I have a couple more questions I would like help with so will start separate threads for those soon.

As for this one, I certainly feel more content with facing water...to a degree! Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to contribute and supply information.
