(Sorry Newbie!) Freelander 2 parking sensor issues

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forums having bought a 07 Freelander 2 SE at the weekend

I absolutely love it! However whenever the parking sensors should be activated, the light on the centre console just flashes and there is no noise. Has anyone had this issue before and know if there is an easy fix before I go storming back to the garage?

What light flashes? I think there is an over ride. You got the hand book cos thats where I think I saw it. But Im not certain.

The light on the parking sensor button, its the one with the P with the radar symbol. Its on the left hand side of the lock button. I checked the manual and it says if it flashes then it indicates a fault & I need to take it to a garage.

I'll have another check in the handbook on my lunch break, cheers!

Probably a faulty sensor in the bumper or dodgy wiring behind the bumper
