Shouldn't be much cleaning to do. The part that is in the air duct isl probably be covered in oil but no dust as the air filter will stop all that. If there is any suspision that it is defective then it has to be replaced.

Hello Earthling. . . . . .the MAF has been talked to death on this forum, its a complex subject that cannot be explained quickly so i suggest that you try the search button, as their is loads of good info for you. . . . .a very crude but effective test used by a lot of numpties on here :D :D :D is to disconnect it [if it improves performance] then your Maf could be suspect. . . . . . .by the way this is a LZ forum and things don't work like most forums simply cos we have tratter boys un gurls and they is not normal :D :D :D :D :D :D

Tis sad but true. We're a compassionate lot though us freelanderers & we're trying to help them adjust to a better way. Hard work but we're prepared to put in those many long endless hours in the hope that if we can help just one of them to find a better quality of life then it'll all have been worth it:D (specially BoB)
