Someone knicked my rear lamp cluster!

Well, well ,well, full of seasonal cheer here in the south of France. Went to take the hippo for a run to my daughter's in Toulouse after New Year and noticed someone had removed the rear right hand side fog/reversing lamp cluster. Handy thief must have had a torx screwdiver with them .... Funny thing is, the driver's window now wont go up or down (some connection or random coincidence????)

Has anyone got a spare part they would be willing to sell me and to send to France in the next day or two? Or if anyone can recommend a reputable breaker I can contact that would be good,too.

Midnight auto spares collection strikes again - Seriously, contact the gendarmes and let them know about this and keep an eye out for any other Freelanders in the vicinity. Are they a common vehicle in / around Languedoc?

Freelanders are rarer than mermaids cocks in the Tarn. I see maybe 6 or 7 regularly-ish in a 50km circle of here, with the occasional other one spotted once and never seen again.

As for the part, there are occasionally one or two being broken on LeBonCoin.

Languedoc is a big place, I dont know where abouts you are but rumour has it there is a Land Rover breakers in or around Labastide Rouairoux, which is half way between Beziers and Mazamet, although I have never found the place myself.

Also worth a try is Tilt Auto in Nissan Les Enserune, just outside of Beziers.

Thanks. This is a small village - especially at this time of year - and I can only assume someone has seen the vehicle parked up over the break and taken advantage. My wife is on the municipal council and will raise this - and I am also wondering whether I should report it to the gendarmes. Freelanders are not that common but I will probably see one a week round here. Will keep everyone updated

Thanks! No they are not that common but parts are very expensive if you get them from LR in Beziers or Montpellier. Thanks for the info on breakers - will take a look. We are about 30 km from Beziers.

Leboncoin is excellent and I have sold/bought many things through the site (seems to be bigger in France than ebay). Nothing for Freelander feux arrieres at present ... But will keep looking

Thanks Teddywood. Mine is an old 1999 diesel. I noticed looking on ebay that there may be some variations and I need to make sure I search for the right one. Also - the thief took the screws away so I need to source them if they don't come with the part.

Hi, hope this is the same, its from a 2001 petrol, but is the same as my 2001 td4, has the 3 screws, no bulb holders (can get them if you need them) £10 for the light plus postage (need your address to price) need an email to send photo, cheers dean

Thanks - I sent you a PM last with address details but maybe it didnt come through? I will try again now. Oh - and I will need the bulbholders as well as all I am left with is the wires and plugs (thankfully nothing cut).

I have a drivers side F1 light cluster only problem in Benicarlo Spain and wont be back till 14th

All sorted now - thanks to deangermouse! Post was a little slow because of the chaos in France at the end of last week .... I will make a point of rotating my parking position from now on to thwart other potential night time targeters.
