I never have supplier name on new plates, just standards number as small as poss.

Back to the Q plate thing. There are several shops that will stretch a 110 csw or hard top to 120" or 130" wheel base and they don't go on a Q plate

why stretch to 130 when ya can buy one???
it all depends on what mods are done to the chassis. and what other changes are made.

I was referring to the chassis.. changing the body shape doesn't generally trigger any points

Q plates are reserved for vehicles of dubious age/origin. if the age of a vehicle is known then generally it gets an age related plate.

few outriggers but that in itself won't trigger an SVA and change of plate. if it's not deemed as a major modification.

The material of UK number plates must either comply with British Standard BS AU 145d which states BSI number plates must be marked on the plate with the BSI logo and the name and postcode of the manufacturer and the supplier of the plates

The British Standard for number plates
