2002 (52) Td5 Land Rover Defender 110 Double Cab Pick-up county spec. with off road preparation.
Finished in classic Land Rover coniston green and the look being completed with a set of boost 16 inch alloy wheels with general grabber tyres with loads of tread left. Being a county spec it’s got electric front windows, remote central locking and front central cubby box.
The Land Rover has covered 168,500 miles (will go up as in daily use). The Td5 engine is reliable and strong. This being a 2002 vehicle it benefits from having the 15p version of the Td5 engine with improved reliability.
On the inside the Land Rover has a full set of black waterproof seat covers, the front seats are XS style half leather (fitted by a previous owner) and the back seats are the original county spec techno trim. The stereo has been upgraded to a CD player with front USB input and also Bluetooth audio/phone handsfree.
This has previously been used as a working vehicle (I believe on a farm/game keeping) so it does have some knocks and scratches, but nothing too severe for an 18 1/2 year old Defender!
Outside the Defender has been fitted with an electric front winch, tubular front winch bumper and steering guard. The off-road preparation continues with a set of rock/tree sliders (fitted about 2 years ago) replacing the vulnerable sills. The wings are protected with alloy chequer plate, as is the lower section of the rear quarter panel. At the rear there is a substantial swing away sore wheel carrier, which frees up extra room inside the rear truck bed. For extra load security, and anyone who owns a dog, an Ifor Williams aluminium rear canopy is included with this Defender making this an ideal vehicle for anyone who either goes off-road, or enjoys outdoor pursuits. The original canvas type hood and frame can also be supplied with the Defender of wanted.
For towing, and to aid with this Defenders off-road preparation/capabilities a low profile demountable tow bar with tow ball/jaw has been fitted. There is also an electrical lighting socket fitted into the rear crossmember out of harms way!
The next MoT is due on 04/12/2021. The previous owner carried out their own servicing, and I have had the Land Rover regularly serviced at a local garage, with the last service being completed in December 2020.
