Soft dash rangie 300TDi

I am thinking of buying a 1994 300tdi soft dash rangie, can any one tell me if they are any good for towing .I do not want to break the land speed record or anything but just want to know if it will cruise at 60 in comfort with my fairly large caravan on the back.
