Well least we know NOT to ask certain questions now...Certainly a new learning curve.
She is learning so for the most part would be a no but then thats why I would be a long side....For a start,
It would help whoever you get advise from if they know the following
Are you driving solo?
IS your vehicle modified for greenlane driving , if so how?
DO you have much experience driving off tarmac?
Do you carry survival kit in your vehicle?
Do you know how to self recovery?
Do you mind getting your vehicle damaged?
Do paint scratches bother you?
Do you know what all the off road 4x4 features do on your vehicle?
Cheers

Scratched on second outting just paint and tcut when got home...So the Answer is a resounding NO..
Nots so much NOT liking the answers but feeling like the ONLY way is to Join a group we don't want too.You not liking answers is a very different issue to asking questions
The one on the passenger door certainly is still there(yes is dented too)... so again still not an issueAnd if Tcut does not get them out?
Cheers
Ok back to basics
You won't get lane locations/suggestions PUBLICLY on this forum. Maybe via p.m and probably would help if you detailed along lines of @neilly suggestion.
If you're set dead against anything to do with GLASS and are in regular contact with byways officers (as you've said) you're probably better off asking them what would be suitable aren't you? No sarcasm, genuine question. You seem very experienced in using the countryside for work and recreation so I would imagine you could probably plan a few suitable lanes off your own bat.
Although I would say a local GLASS rep would be more qualified to suggest suitable lanes for your requirements/driver in their local area due to their experience driving them and knowledge of conditions at different times of year.
Like I've said, waste of a good resource
I have to ask as that has got me "AG"WTF???It's not about pushing anyone to join an organisation, it's about answering a call for advice and helping you and your partner get the most out of your land rover, that's what this forum is about, helping people enjoy their landys in a responsible, safe way. Unless you go into AG in which case you're on you're own pal
Your worse than a woman!!!!!!!!!!!!So you still planning on driving Solo?
as you could not answer the list completely.
Cheers
Thank you for you comments,
The one thing we have already found is whilst the Byways officer(richard pett for instance) are helpful in advising where to go they don't always know the condition fully, Hence asking here... And that can be the same in the dales as local officer that covers ribblesdale had differing opinions to the Area ranger who advised against a certain route due to deep ruts(we later confirmed whilst on an Ex in area) Again hence asking here...
Sometime asking those that regularly are out and playing is the best way to find out relevant info...
I have to ask as that has got me "AG"WTF???
I think we may be on to something hereAha! So if you try using local names for the lanes you think you could try I bet you'd have a lot more responses concerning condition and driveability for your vehicle/experience. Try the regional landyzoners threads to narrow it down but don't give away exact lane locations. If locals see the common local names for the lanes they'll know what they're on about
Your worse than a woman!!!!!!!!!!!!
