just fitted my facelift fog lights and pods and everything has gone quite well until I've come to the final connection....

The Land Rover picture instructions seem to suggest removing fuse board from under dash to gain access to plug number c2624

I've undone the 2 bolts at the bottom of the fuse board but can't get it to move other than a few centimetres

Anyone got any tips to assist with this .... According to the instructions I just need to remove one wire from this plug , substitute it with a wire from the new loom then join the wire I've removed to the other one on the new loom

So close to completion but can move this fuse board to get to the plug

Cheers

Chris

Thanks teddywood

Really annoying me to fail at the end....

My car hasn't got factory fogs so considered using the plugs that are already there behind bumper but can't get hold of them throught the holes I've cut for the fog lights

I don't recall having to touch the fuse board under the dash. I know the dash pod has to come off to splice a wire behind the clocks. What it the part number you have for your lights.

Yes that is correct for the spot light kit where you end up with the switch low down on the right hand side next to the park sensor switch

Mine are the fog version where the switch is in the centre of the dash where the hazard switch is .

As I said earlier I can see the wires and plugs for what must have been the factory fogs which mine doesn't have.

Thinking it might be easier to try and get hold of these and take power from there but don't think I can get to them without taking bumper off....... Bugger

Sorted....... Managed to get hold if the original connectors........ Soldered the new connectors to those and hey presto all works...

Lesson there is .... Anyone buying the fog light version of these pods ..... If you don't have factory fogs then the loom is already in there and you don't need to waste a few hours fitting the loom that comes with the kit .....

Chris

had this with mine, with the genuine kit, but couldn't get the fuse box out enough to plug the connector onto the socket. In the end, googled a picture of the fuse box back, then just felt my way round till I could plug it in.

if it's any consolation, it looks like all the plugs are different so you can't plug into the wrong socket.

No.... They are the ones in pods that sit on the unpainted part of the bumper........ Just that this is the fog light version of the kit rather than spots

Chris

Ohhh I thought you where fitting both. I did not know the fog light ones wired up differently. Now I know. Glad I went for the spots I would not be comfortable tackling a fuse box bit.

As I said..... Not a problem in the end.... As I didn't have factory fogs, I just used the wires that were already hiding behind the bumper... Just put the switch in the dash and 2 relays in the fuse box
