if you were to look in the previous post you will see a custom made 2 part oil bath filter, made up of 2 filters into one,as i read in an earlier post about special filters this is one of those just not bought made instead

I am currantly in the process of making a snorkel, after nearly hitting the floor when i was told the price of a mantec one (£166 localy)!.
So far i have got a pipe running up the edge of the screen and a hose going through the wing, i need to get a cooper/mushroom top. I am unsure where to get it from, i am thinking paddocks any sugestions? i might try at peterbourgh but i would like it done before then.

Parts so far:
2.5m black plastic downpipe (68mm o/d), £4.99p
Intake hose from scrappy £3 (rover 214 sohc is flexi and has an i/d of 68mm)

i was thinking about getting one of those CDA airboxes but i plan to make this as budget as poss to see how cheap it can be done so any suggestions on what airboxes might be useful?

pictures to follow.....

Check out Donaldson Air Filter on Eblag and you should find one suitable for a snorkle. I've got that far with mine, and am now after some 63mm Aluminium rain water pipe for the tubes. I aim to go straight down into the wing with a thick gromet strip around the cut edge. From there, it's standard flexipipe I can get from the car parts places.

Piccies when done guys ;-)

well time to dig up a very old thread, i have got the top on me pipe and am now just waiting on the 200tdi airbox from the very nice mr sirus, i have bust my budget i have now spent:
£4.99p on plastic drainpipe
£6 on hose from rover 214 inlet(i needed 2)
£buggerall on hoseclips as i gets them for free
£23 (inc p+p) on a 'cooper' top
