Thinking about a snorkel.

Lots of my off road are in the bush.
Many times the bush is thick enough to push my mirrors closed if I have not already done so.

My question.

How much abuse will the snorkel take from braches and such?

Thanks.

The metal mantec styles will take a bit of battering, Ive got one, been through bushes like you described, scratched it a bit, but a coat of hammerite fixes that easy enough.

I really wish that I could rig some "bush Cables" but cant figure out how with the soft top.
cables will help.

my safari one got bent out at 90 degrees when my defender had a lie down in a very verdant hedge somewhere in mid wales.
it popped back into shape when I got back on all 4 wheels, the same could not be said for the roof

I think the mantecs and safaris of this world can take the knocks, not so sure of the cheapy knockoffs, but then they're pennies in comparison so I guess they'd be cheap enough to chuck.

I have a cheap metal Paddock one. My thinking was if it gets damaged it's cheap to replace. Like you I often go into the forest through narrow tracks where the mirrors get pushed back. The snorkel has stood up well. No damage what so ever. Its now four years old. I would like a metal Mantec one as I think they look cool.
