The eurobox is due an oil change this year, last one before it goes to the big scrap yard in the sky I reckons, might give the ATF a whirl in it as is has a noisy tappet when coldYes ATF is the flushing treatment of choice for me..
used it in many engines and never had an issue..

very good as i said for cleaning out tappets.
As its still an oil and not a weird solvent it does no damage while it works.

It's snake oil. An "Italian" tune up is very affective at cleaning the engine, more so if you use a decent fuel treatment in the tank too.
How long do you run the engine for .It's a good trick.
Give it a whirl.
Drop a litre of oil out the sump and add a litre of ATF leave her running with a few good hard rev's
In bad engines you might have to do this 2 times maybe 3 but it does work wonders.
If yer motors heavily gunged up yer'll probably need the same process done 3 or 4 times fer it to show signs of improvement and the eggtra +40bhp.
