Im talking rooves.

Im nearing the end of my paitience here, due to various factors, which i may, or may not go into later, but am considering (another) replacement roof for the 110.

Its a csw, but i wouldnt fit a roof with one of the cam action sun rooves, and the screw ones are few and far between, so i may just get a van roof.

So, smooth or ribbed, and why?

Could be wrong but I thought only difference was on early ones ribs on the outside and late ones they are on the inside.

Dunno if there is any truth in it but I was told that the earlier roofs with the external ribs are stronger than the smooth roofs.
I must admit, when I was looking to buy my 90 (at ex mod disposal places), alot of the smooth roofs had split ribs in the area where the front slanty bit meets the rear flat bit.

Definitely ribbed. Mine's smooth and is horrible when it's windy or at speed.
Think of wobbling a sheet of thin aluminium!!!

If anyone is after a swap at some point, I have a very straight ribbed 110 roof with alpine lights. Problem is, I need that teeny bit more clearance to get into my garage (yes it's that close) so if anyone fancies a swap for a smooth one, let me know.
