Hoping somebody can shed some light - replaced hg due to manifold studs broken. Now when I accelerate moderate to hard I can see smoke in my mirror at night. She pulls harder than previously, not sure if timing is spot on as the lower pin wouldn’t fit in the fly wheel. Mileage is 152k on a hard farm worked disco owned and serviced on the button since new, replaced one injector at 104k. Any ideas as smoking diesels these days aren’t pc?....

It wouldn’t align as the fly wheel seems to have moved towards the gearbox, and im not confusing it for the secondary marks that the crank sensor reads from. Perhaps it’s because the dual mass fly wheel is breaking up? Would advanced timing cause the smoke?
