Have you got some more details.FSH? how old? when was last service?Mileage? How much oil are you using over what time/mileage

it ia a td4 s xreg 2000 dont know when the last service was as we havent had it long. at the moment it is using about half a pint over a fortnight and the milage is 157000.

thanks for your time mark

have you replaced the cam breather filters under the rocker cover, useless filters can cause the smoke.

stuck it in for full service so hopefully will cure problem will keep you posted thanks for all the advice.

had a full service with all oils replaced and a new VCU and rear diff. The smoking exhaust was down to cam breather chocked causing pressure build up in the engine and pushing oil out of the dip stick. thought i would share that with.

thanks again mark

not sure if anything was wrong with it after doing all the tests i could possibly findbut read somewhere that it is recommended to change every 70000 miles plus if did nt change it at the same time i would not of got my 6 month warranty with my recon rear diff, so i thought iwould play it safe.
