Smells of burnt clutch

Hi all
I'm Frank and new to the site Iv bought a discovery td5 2003 manual 2 months ago it's got 91000 on the clock the problem is I drove from crewe to Llandudno doing about 60 to 70 mph when I got off the A55 and tried to change gear it felt like it didn't want to shift down felt like it was stuck in gear and since then there's been a smell of burnt clutch but it's not slipping and there's a slight winding noise when it's in top gear and a twanging noise when I go over bumpy or rough ground in 1st and 2nd gears if it is the clutch wot do I need to buy any help would be great full

an oil change might help gear change, does pedal feel ok ie biting point and with pedal depressed whilst stood engine running will go from 1st to rev without effort, worth checking brakkes ,mine grap on long journeys gives the same smell but you cant feel it
