Apparently there's a smaller new Defender on the way, but not for a couple of years.
The main issue l have with my new Defender is the size. It's fine for road use and as a Commercial l wouldn't want the rear load space (in my 90) to be any smaller.
But for greenlaning and general off road use the vehicle is just too wide and a bit, well, big.
This is brought into focus by driving our new model Jimny, which is so much better in this respect.
However it looks like the new smaller model
will be electric only, l don't think there's currently an electric off road vehicle so it will be interesting to see how it performs.
I don't think an electric vehicle will work for proper Overlanding, but the regular new Defender can be used for that.
