Give it a few days then check they are still 12.4v if they are then its not losing power, and you are probably ok, BUT if you ever need a good battery I always get mine from this guy https://www.lincon.co.uk/ he makes them in the UK and posts them out to you just tell him your make of car and he will know the max battery size and power you can put in, he had knowledge, and he even will make the old type with the lead showing if you want a classic one

:D:D:D:D I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I love living where we do BUT as far as landrover ownership is concerned two big problems for me are, not being able to just have a chat over a beer with other owners like you would in a UK owners club, and when I do find I need summat it's pretty well impossible to find one to strip in a scrapyard.:(:(
I suppose thats the downside of owning a rare and exotic vehicle.:p:p:p
You could always send us beer tokens and we could have a virtual meeting.:D

Sorry @Dopey just read this after ordering a pair from Tanya.fr. :(:(
Started her up this morning - damp cold morning about 4 C - sluggish to turn over BUT after I had used my new start-up procedure 12 seconds after light goes out to hearing the click and turning the starter on, she did start reasonably well, perhaps 2/3 seconds of cranking.
Drained and flushed the rad etc this morning, while struggling to get at the bottom hose clip noticed a date sticker on one battery that was for Feb 2013, don't know the age of the other (different make) battery, decided it was old enough to change so decided to buy as a pair.

A French mate of mine who designs electronic systems for cars told me some time ago to always change a pair of batteries at the same time, otherwise the old one will "vampirise" the new one. I liked the phrase, always remember it.
