I did not say that was definately the problem, it was just a suggestion. Diesel in the engine oil won't make it run on but engine oil getting into the intake if the oil vapour seperator is goosed will. I'm not familier with the breather/seperator on the L322 but I do know it can be a source of problems.
No point in changing the switch until you know that is the problem. Watch the dash and see if it all shuts down promptly when you turn off the ignition.
