I have a problem selecting 4th gear and thought it might improve things. I'm assuming you mean adjusting the two bolts that tension the springs...??

I dont know the lt85, but, basically, you want to adjust the springs so as the "neutral" mid point is in line with 3rd and 4th, and not wobbling about all over the place.

So, to then get it into gear in 3rd or 4th, it should be a simple / basic shift forwards or backwards from the place that the springs pull the stick to when its not in gear.

Thanks for that guys, I live in the arse end of no where in south west France so good Landy help is very hard to find.... So thanks all..

On this forum a large number of people who live in France say "south west" France.
I don't know why.
Which dept you are in, would help narrow it down.
Eg our place is in 81. (But we won't be there for a month or so.)

I fitted a Slickshift to my R380 Defender and found it to be much nicer to live with. I set it up as the instructions suggest, but 3rd to 4th was sticky, so did have to adjust the springs a little more, I must have been out just a touch, as once right it's effortless.
