Well I have now bought a Turbo Gauge :D - went for an Auto Meter Phantom as have used them in the past, and they work really well.

From memory they come with the 1/8npt connector....but don't quote me on that .

My question is, does anyone know the size of the 'blank' on the rear of the inlet manifold (as I have searched fitting the gauge and people have mentioned this - although I haven't looked on my own yet ) as I am guessing this will be the best place for tapping this type of gauge into, rather than changing all of the pipe work to fit onto a t-piece from the waste-gate etc....is it a standard 12mm??

The ETC5577, just struggling to find the actual size of the bolt so I can get a Banjo to feed the boost gauge....

Don't have any dies :(

but looks I have found with the help of Google and around 2 hours searching that it would seem to be M12 with 1.5mm thread pitch.

Only reason for asking is that I will plumb it first to the pipe from the actuator (or whatever its called) to get the first reading, and then from the manifold for a second reading to make sure I am not loosing boost from pipes etc.

Then will probably leave it in the manifold as will be able to tell if there is any problem with any of the pipework ;)

Did this on mine, got the banjo off ebay for a couple of quid, and used a new boost pipe (the one from the turbo to fuel pump) from landrover to plumb the boost gauge in

Boost gauge fitted, and plumbed into the pipe from the actuator and getting just over 1 bar, so far so good.

Just waiting for the Banjo adaptor to come so I can plumb into the manifold to see what amount of pressure is going into the engine now.....
