silly question on landrover defender 110..

hi,

i've never had experience with a car like this.

can someone tell me how do i open the hood on this darn thing?

I can't seem to find a switch inside the car where cars normally have
them and i also can't seem to find anything on the outside.

I'm sure it's right in front of me.

if its a UK spec you may have the hood release on the passenger side,
what year is it? Some will just have a release in the grill.

On the D90 (97 anyway) there's a handle under the dash just to the left of the
transmission hump.
