Hey all!

I am installing a new Thermostat on my Pre 2001 Xei but will need the new hoses and was looking at spicing it up a bit, has anyone used the kit from Stoney Racing, are they any good?

If there is any mod I like it is coloured coolant hoses.

Thank you!

They aren't too expensive anymore, they used to be hundreds but now they are going at £120 which is sure more than normal, but... They look sooo nice! 😂

Hi ADParis64.
That s a excellent price for those hoses, do you have a link for them please, i wonder what the quality is or will be like.

Got them installed!

Quality? 7/10
Ease? 4/10
General recommendation? They are good. They're not excellent and not "easy" to put on as some of them are thicker tubing than they are wide inside but that is fine, they seem to be damaged quite easily but I have no other silicone hoses to compare them to, but damaged the plastic on the engine was enough to cut the inside diameter of the tube when installing.

When it comes to installing them it was fairly easy, if you know where the hoses go... now having a thermostat to install which I did not before I didn't know where half the hoses went but after some trial and error it was fairly easy however the clamps used were sub-par (I hated them) and were often too big getting in the way of each other, especially those going to the heater core in the dash.

I am yet to run it up to temp but I would strongly recommend getting your own clamps as these ones are really good fitting on the hose, but once they stretch when installing on the engine and what-not they are very tight or wayyyy to loose so using or making your own clamps would be in my recommendation.

Overall though, they look really good, 7.5/10!
